As experts in difficult access inspections, Inertia Consulting are often asked to provide support services to third parties wishing to carry out their own bridge and civil engineering inspections and surveys. Using our specialist equipment, skills and knowledge we can plan and manage safe entry to confined spaces and other high-risk environments such as tunnels, culverts, waterways, cliff-edges and fuel jetties.
Once a safe system of access is in place, our highly-trained team will remain on site throughout the inspection, providing additional advice and support if required. In the event of a problem, we’ll deploy our experienced search and rescue team.
❯Specialist skills and equipment in-house
Our engineers have wide experience of planning and executing projects requiring specialist access. We have our own fleet of power boats for waterway access, and have worked on many projects requiring us to build pontoons, enable rope access or work from Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). We can also carry out aerial inspections using drones.
Credentials in this area include IRATA Level 1 and IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Inspection Teams, Confined Space Entry and Control teams (including search and rescue support), IPAF Powered Access Licences and PASMA membership.
