Our team of degree-qualified and Chartered Civil Engineers have wide experience of carrying out bridge inspections and designing structures in line with Network Rail standards. We also inspect, test and monitor other concrete and masonry structures on the UK’s rail network.
❯A full range of services, supplied in-house
Several of our engineers are members of the LANTRA Bridge Inspection Competence Scheme (BICS), Network Rail STE4 Structures Examiner and STE7 Underwater Examiner accredited. This enables us to carry out all five main types of bridge inspection: Safety, General, Principal, Special and Inspections for Assessment. Our in-house team can plan and execute all access methods, including confined space entry and control, and arrange traffic management with the railway authorities.
Efficient, cost-effective stock management services
Through our stock asset management programme, we can control the two year / six year inspection cycle and provide the detailed information our clients need to understand the condition of their structures, so they can schedule repair and maintenance works as required.
Related services cover capacity assessment, non-destructive testing and structural monitoring of railway bridges and other structures, including category II and III checks. We also provide inspection support services to third party consultants.
Station and railway structure design
Our expert team design and supervise strengthening and repair works for railway bridges and other structures. We also provide advice, consultancy and temporary works services for projects such as bridge removal and replacement. And of course, we offer high quality design services for new builds including bridges, stations and other railway structures such as retaining walls, platforms and over-track (OTX) signal gantries.

• Steelwork design for the Abbey Road station for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
• Steelwork and temporary works design for the Stratford Eastern Egress Footbridge over the High Speed 1 railway to connect Stratford Station with the Olympic Park
